It’s been such a pleasure working with Marc over the past few years. He’s one of those rare people who can tackle any problem with confidence and calm, no matter how complex. Marc was engaged by Aviva to create UIs around a technical platform. The UIs ranged from UIs for development tooling to business focused UIs built to be data driven (so change use case driven by the data deployed).
A number of things impressed me about Marc. Firstly he took time to fundamentally understand the platform from its business purpose through the design goals to the technical construction. Once there he then truly became a development partner rather than a hired developer.
He took ownership of the builds worked unsupported and shaped the end product better than our original vision.
Marc is calm, considered, talented and hardworking. The journey and the outcome are much better for him being here. If you are looking for someone who truly understands UX design, the latest JS react approaches plus BDD etc...well I can’t recommend Marc highly enough.
Marc was a lead engineer on our front end team. He was critical to building up the core framework and SDK and lead in both developing new features and supporting the roll-out of the framework across many teams by evangelizing and offering support and training to bring new teams on board.Marc was key to the success of the SDK bringing professionalism and strong competence along with great ideas for new features and improvements and was key to building up the developer community via workshops, online support and hackathons.
I first met Marc when my team was starting a project using a web SPA framework built by Marc's group - we requested aid and Marc reviewed our early work and helped us get on our feet with the framework. Since then I've had a ton of discussions with Marc, from simple to fairly complex and he was always someone to ask for an opinion, directions or an advice regarding the SDK, our own code or overall web tech peculiarities. Marc would always find some time to share his deep insights, and was always a pleasure to work with.
I've teamed with Marc Edouard and I was all the time impressed with his commitment to the project success. His contribution was the key factor turning an average software into a great one. He is not only able to deal with high level guidelines and convert them into a professional piece of software but also add very valuable contributions.
